Frequently Asked Questions

We answer your questions

The most important thing is to identify the brand and model of your current remote control. You can find this information on the back of the remote. You also need to know the frequency (433 MHz or 868 MHz). If you have doubts, send us a photo of your remote and we will advise you free of charge to find the appropriate compatible model.
No, the remote controls are sent unprogrammed. We include detailed step-by-step instructions so you can program it yourself in less than 2 minutes through self-learning. Most of our universal remote controls automatically copy the code from the original remote without needing to touch the receiver.
The original remote control is from the same brand as your motor, with a higher price. The compatible one works the same as the original but is more economical. The universal one can copy codes from multiple brands (up to 90% of the market) and allows you to store up to 4 different remotes in a single device, being the most versatile and economical option.
Yes, it is possible if you have access to the receiver or control panel of the motor. You will need to locate the programming button (PROG, LEARN or MEM) on the receiver and follow the registration process. If your system is old or does not have a programming button, we can advise you on alternatives such as external universal receivers.
To choose the appropriate motor you need to know: the type of door (sectional, up-and-over, sliding or swing), the approximate weight and dimensions. Up-and-over doors require motors from 150-500€, sliding doors from 360-800€ and swing doors from 300-650€. Consult us with your door data and we will recommend the most suitable motor.
All our motors and automation systems include the manufacturer's official warranty: between 2 and 5 years depending on the model and manufacturer. For residential use doors with a maximum of 5 daily operations, some manufacturers offer up to 5 years warranty. Remote controls and accessories have a minimum warranty of 2 years.
Yes, according to the UNE-EN 12453 standard, it is mandatory to install photocells or other safety devices on automatic doors, especially if they have timed automatic closing or are communal garages. Photocells prevent accidents by detecting obstacles. We have photocells compatible with all brands.
Yes, we have spare parts for most brands and models, even discontinued ones. Our extensive stock includes electronic boards, photocells, receivers, control units and mechanical components for brands such as Hörmann, FAAC, BFT, Came, Nice, Somfy and many more. Consult us about your specific model.
Many modern remote controls have an installer code for greater security. If you don't know if your remote has one, you can: 1) Send us your remote by mail so we can copy it professionally, 2) Select the remote pickup option in the cart, or 3) Buy a universal remote that automatically copies even with installer code.
The consumption is minimal, between 200W and 800W, but only during opening/closing (approximately 25 seconds). When at rest, it consumes almost the same as a turned-off television. The monthly expense is practically imperceptible on your electricity bill, equivalent to a low-consumption LED bulb.
Yes, our universal remote controls allow you to store up to 4 different codes from different garages, gates or doors in a single device. It is the perfect solution if you have a garage at home, at work and a communal parking lot. You can manage all accesses with a single compact remote control.
If you have access to the motor's receiver, we can supply you with compatible remotes and guide you to program them directly on the control panel. If you don't have access to the receiver, we can install an external universal receiver that connects to the existing automation without the need for construction work. Consult us about your specific case.
Remote controls with rolling code are safer and more modern, they change the code with each use. Fixed code ones are older and easier to copy. Most of our universal remote controls are compatible with both systems. If you have doubts about your system, consult us about the model of your current motor or remote control.
We recommend: safety photocells (mandatory), flashing warning light, manual emergency release system, obstacle detector and, optionally, code keypad or proximity reader. We have complete safety kits compatible with all motor brands.
